Financial Advisor | President

John started his career in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer. After serving seven years, John spent two years as a senior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. He then became a financial advisor in 2010. He has served many clients including military, federal, civilian, retirees, and young families, guiding them through all of life's milestones and challenges.

John started 2250 Financial Services in 2020 in honor of his late father, John. The name "2250" comes from his dad's birthday as a remembrance of him. His father lived with integrity and to serve his family. He concentrated on what was truly important in life: family. That is the spirit that drives John in his practice—helping people manage their finances so they can focus their time and energy on what's important to them.

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Maryland (MBA), John holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations, plus state life and health insurance licenses. John is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certificant.

John, his wife, Kerin, and two sons, Jack and William, enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking and running.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) owns the CFP® certification mark, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification mark, and the CFP® certification mark (with plaque design) logo in the United States, which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
